*Please support the Media Committee of the Green Party of the United States! *
Did you see our Livestream broadcast of the 2014 State of the Union address on Jan. 28, with commentary by Jill Stein, Cheri Honkala, and other Green leaders? Did you join the simultaneous viewer discussion in the chatbox?
The broadcast was a project of the Media Committee, produced by Craig Seeman and committee co-chair Starlene Rankin. The show drew an unprecedented number of participants and is now archived at our Livestream site, where anyone can watch it (http://www.livestream.com/greenpartyus).
The Media Committee is one of the Green Party's most active committees. We issue press releases on a regular basis and publish articles by Greens (see our Newsroom: http://www.gp.org/index.php/newsroom.html). We promote state and local Green candidates nationally, publicize our national conventions, hold workshops, and program press conferences to feature our presidential nominees. We handle social media (Facebook, Twitter) and produce Livestream shows on Green Party TV.
Please consider a donation to the Media Committee (http://tinyurl.com/gpmedia-donate). As the party grows and attracts more media attention, our expenses are growing too.
Our top tech priority is a mult box, which costs $1325. We usually rent audio-video equipment, including mult boxes, for big events like the annual national meetings and presidential nominating conventions. We'll save a lot of money by purchasing one.
Thank you!
Scott McLarty and Starlene Rankin, co-chairs, on behalf of the Media Committee
