Friends - As you have probably heard, the National Park Service posted notices in both Freedom Plaza and McPherson Square occupy sites on Friday, indicating an intention to enforce regulations prohibiting camping (or structures intended for camping), beginning at apprxoimately noon on Monday, Jan 30.
Both sites are planning creative, non-violent responses to these notices, so keep checking their web-sites and Twitter feeds (occupy_dc, etc.). There will be a solidarity gathering in Lafayette Park on Sunday, Jan 29, and a labor-supported rally at noon on Monday at Freedom Plaza.
Also today (Sat) Rev. Graylan Hagler of Plymouth United Cong. Church will speak at Freedom Plaza at 4 p.m., and Occupiers will pick at the annual Alfalfa Club dinner (6 p.m., at Capital Hilton, 16 and K St, NW). Please join us!
Bringing people out, esp. on Sunday and Monday, will demonstrate the support of activists and people from all areas, for the Occupiers. We saw much good-will during the original actions in October, and hope to replicate - and exceed - those numbers. Thank you for your support ! Ann W -
